THE FIRST ROUND FOUNDATION

Fighting For Our communities

At The First Round Foundation, Health wellbeing and community development is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our programmes and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps community members reach their goals and fulfil their potential, by utilising the power of sport.

WHO WE ARE

Our Roots

The First Round foundation is a community interest compony (cic) that is striving to help disengaged, disadvantaged pupils and residents  from all walks of life with different aspects of their personal development. We are a sporting organisation that utilises non-contact boxing and mentoring as a tool of engagement, for young and mature members of the community. Participants may be struggling in different aspects of their growth and development at any stage of their life; confidence levels, various anger management issues, weight concerns, feeling isolated, behaviour concerns, mental health issues or just want to get fit, we find that sport is a great tool to deal with these specific issues and can increase cohesion amongst different members of the community, increase focus, discipline and control. We currently work amongst a number of schools, and have seen great results amongst pupils that participate within our program, we want to offer a similar program to more schools, youth clubs and communities across the capital, and our now opening our first boxing studio based in south east London where we welcome all members of the community there are multiple social issues that need to be addressed together as a community, although we can not solve all the issues we will continue to fight to be a change.
